Mommy, Daddy and Grandpa took Tristan to the hospital today to get the results of the MRI.
Here is the short version. The tumor hasn't grown at all, and in fact because Tristan is growing and the tumor isn't "he is clinically 5% better". The chemotherapy protocol is working. The next round of chemotherapy begins possibly today, assuming his counts are high enough however, we only have to do something like 3 weeks of carboplatin, no vencristine (which is the one that gives him pain) and 2 weeks of pills before our next MRI which is in 10 weeks. The tumor isn't pushing on anything in his brain so with prayers and luck his eye may start to come back in.....We have a long way to go, but we are on the right path. Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. We as a family appreciate so very much....there just isn't a way to say thank you enough. Keep those healing thoughts and prayers coming PLEASE!
Tristan is the "king of the world' well at least our world :-). More to come. Love you all, so much!
This blog is meant to share information about Tristan. On Friday March 13th, 2009 Tristan had an MRI at Primary Childrens Medical Hospital where they found a tumor they believe is "Pilocytic Astrocytoma" If someone finds something you think we may all want to see please post it here. If the doctor gives us any information or answers an email or sets up appoints whatever...this will hopefully keep us all informed.

Tristan's MRI was today. Mommy took him in at some ungodly hour and aunt Nikki was there in the recovery room when he woke up. Can I just tell you that this little one is the strongest, happiest, most beautiful kid in the world! He woke up 'drunk baby' groggy from the knock out drugs, but within just a few minutes he got some soda and all the junk removed, finger thingy, leg hugger, nasty port....sheez! We get the results on Wednesday. Pray Pray Pray!
