Tristan Update

Tristan is doing well! He is trying to get better and loves KK's old bed! Thanks KK. He is inbetween treatments and gets another 1 and a half break. If his counts stay up, he will be starting the Temedor on December 22nd.....bummer. It's 5 days of a pill that makes him very ill. I have been terrible at keeping up on his profile but I will do better from now on. Once I get my notes organized, I will be adding more info about the entire year. Thanks everyone for your blessings, support and love. It always helps! We love you.

Tristan's Back in Chemo

Today mommy took Tristan to Primary Children's for his next round of chemo. This week his counts were at 1100 (mom said they have to be at 1000 or better to do chemo), feels like a mixed blessing.
Chemo went fine and mom said they have a new way of holding his arms that isn't so traumatic. OMG I cannot even imagine....
Anyway, chemo went fine and now begins a very long night of most likely a very sick boy. Please keep Tristan in your happy thoughts, prayers and wishes.
Love to you all.

Mommy, Daddy and Grandpa took Tristan to the hospital today to get the results of the MRI.
Here is the short version. The tumor hasn't grown  at all, and in fact because Tristan is growing and the tumor isn't "he is clinically 5% better". The chemotherapy protocol is working. The next round of chemotherapy begins possibly today, assuming his counts are high enough however, we only have to do something like 3 weeks of carboplatin, no vencristine (which is the one that gives him pain) and 2 weeks of pills before our next MRI which is in 10 weeks. The tumor isn't pushing on anything in his brain so with prayers and luck his eye may start to come back in.....We have a long way to go, but we are on the right path. Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. We as a family appreciate so very much....there just isn't a way to say thank you enough. Keep those healing thoughts and prayers coming PLEASE!
Tristan is the "king of the world' well at least our world :-). More to come. Love you all, so much!

Tristan's MRI was today. Mommy took him in at some ungodly hour and aunt Nikki was there in the recovery room when he woke up. Can I just tell you that this little one is the strongest, happiest, most beautiful kid in the world! He woke up 'drunk baby' groggy from the knock out drugs, but within just a few minutes he got some soda and all the junk removed, finger thingy, leg hugger, nasty port....sheez! We get the results on Wednesday. Pray Pray Pray!

Another round

Yesterday mommy and daddy went to chemo with me. I just had to have Vencristine but it still sucks and I was a bit ornry about it. Uncle Rindy stopped by around 8:00pm and I was already asleep for the night. 5 more weeks until our next MRI. 2 more weeks of pills and 2 weeks of rest. I think we will all be very happy for the break but please keep those prayers coming for that miracle. Love to you all. Merry Christmas to you and your family's we wish you all happiness and health.

Tristan Chemo update

Hi everyone,
Mommy took Tristan to the hospital yesterday for chemo, we are in the 5th week so he only had to have the Vincristine (inhibits the microtubule structures within the cell). It took a little less time so that was good.
The little guy is hanging tough. Keep those prayers coming and please wish for a miracle for our Tristan - that's all this family wants for Christmas!

Happy Holidays everyone, thank you as always for your support.

Tristan's chemo went fine on Wednesday. He slept all the way through it his mommy said. The evening wasn't quite as easy but Kimi is able to keep a handle on it with the medications. Grandma Isham went up yesterday and spent the whole day with him. He followed grandma around the house all day while she cleaned up their house. They played and had fun and Tristan was in good spirits.
